Third album for Necropanther, who despite the name keep turning out concept albums based on SF stories. Last time out it was Dune, and this time we get an album based on the camp SF film classic Logan's Run, which I would not pick for a subject myself, but tastes vary.

Musically this is still the thrashy, hooky Melodeath this band has always been about, with some really good melodic riffing and some excellent leadwork. The vocals are still a weak point, as Guitarist/Vocalist Paul Anop has a raspy attack that is merely serviceable, rather than really adding anything to the music.

I enjoy this album, but while the songs all have good parts, they don't really cohere as songs, and they don't have much individual identity. In other words, this sounds more or less like one long song rather than 13 separate ones. Hearing the riffs and leads on here, as well as the extremely tight musicianship, I know these guys can do better than this with their songwriting. Solid, but not the leap forward I hoped for.
