Invection are a California-based Thrash act that released their debut way back in 2011 after releasing a handful of EPs and demos and have been silent since then. Shame that, as this is a damn fine album that sounds a bit like if Slayer incorporated elements of Bay Area Thrash and Crossover into their sound. This album is filled to the brim with face-stomping riffs and feral aggression, but they stop for some more melodic leads and chunkier sections to give this more variety than you often see. The vocals are a bit of a sticking point, as they're a Crossover-styled yell that's not really in tune with the rest of the music, so the best parts of this album are when he shuts up and lets the riffs do the talking. There's nothing novel about this, and the songs don't always have a lot of identity, but fans of old-school Thrash will want to track this one down.
