God damn, what is it with the Greek scene lately? It's always been a hotbed for quality Metal, but the number of great acts popping up all over the spectrum from there has increased exponentially these past few years. Must be something in the water, and whatever it is, Typhus have clearly been drinking from it. Spending most of the 2010s under the name Nuclear Terror, they've finally released their debut album, Mass Produced Perfection, which is actually a damn fitting name for this excellent release.

Typhus work in good old-fashioned high-octane Speed/Thrash that has everything you want it to: tight playing, sharp solos, slashing riffs, and the powerful vocal acrobatics of bassist Kostas Korg, whose piercing wails are comparable to that of Dimitris K. and John Connelly. What really sets Typhus apart is some excellent songwriting that's filled with unorthodox rhythm changes and startling progressive tendencies, all of which will keep your attention from the first note of "Serpents of an Aberrant Reality" to the ending of "Faith Machinery". Afterwards, you'll hit repeat and once again bear witness to the rise of a first-rate Thrash band who are already on their way to stardom if there's any justice in the world.
