Churning industrial-tinged death metal is brought forth by Infected. They do a good job of making repetitive rhythms catchy and infectious. The music has a deep, full sound that is appropriate for the type of music they're trying to perform. Listening to the outfit makes you want to bang your head along with the music, which I feel is a very positive reaction to have. The band has a mid-paced industrial death groove that is what you might expect from the description, though they don't particularly borrow from one band.

Occasionally the band does play slightly faster, however, as seen from the title track, which gets more frenetic towards the end of the song. The surprising thing is that the music here manages to stay fresh and interesting despite have a relatively simple sound. This is because of the amount of passion the band puts into making every note they play stand out and have some relevance in the overall structure of their work. The best part of the musicianship here is the pounding drums which have a lot of purpose and drive. Furthermore, the vocalist has a commanding presence adds a lot to the music.

Taken as a whole, the album is quite solid, though the added remixed track probably shouldn't have been added. Infected manage to pummel consistently throughout. I haven't heard many industrial-tinged death metal bands, so these guys do a good job distinguishing their outfit in a genre that would be welcome being further filled in the future. Crawlspace is equal parts powerful and catchy.
