It seems as though Sweden is trying to join the ranks of dominant Heavy Metal producing countries. My belief is that Tuck From Hell, a young Thrash group from Borlange, will not be the last Bay Area Thrash-influenced band from the land of the north. Recently, the "Tuckers" from hell released their debut album Thrashing. They weren't kidding; they truly know how to thrash.

Relying on classic Thrash themes like mosh pits, violence and the molestation of their livers with alcohol, these guys are closest to bands like Exodus, Forbidden, Heathen and early Metallica. They seem to have a gift for producing this type of Thrash. Their production is a good as the latest releases by Exodus or Heathen. The power of pure anger is the name of the game.

As for the material, I think it would be hard for anyone listening to Thrashing to not at least bang his head until it hurt. The riffs are great and pay homage to the past. The solos nearly killed me as the lead section has true talent. The vocals and drumming are equally awesome. I recommend the speedy chorus on "I'm Rollin'" the violent main riff of "Idol of Gold," the Speed Metal appetizer "Barbecue Beast," that nearly shattered the ground, and the anthem for thrashers worldwide, "King of Thrash."

I can easily say that Tuck From Hell are on their way to becoming one of the dominant Thrash bands. If they can add some tweaks and twists on the old Bay Area formula, to avoid becoming boring, so much the better.
