No surprises here from Australia's The Furor on their third release War Upon Worship. Relentlessly fast, Immortal-style Black Metal with plenty of tremolo picking, blast beats and almost completely unintelligible Black/Death vocals. War Upon Worship is perhaps a bit faster and bit less polished than some bands, so "raw" would not be an inappropriate adjective. And considering the album's title, there are a couple of things you can be fairly certain of; the lyrics are quite dark and you won't be bumping in to guitarist Axe Mutilation or drummer Disaster at the church social (Disaster can also be heard playing with fellow Western Australians, Mhorgul).

The Furor does not stray from the Black Metal formula one bit, so don't expect to hear anything new, but they do play the style well, so if you are a fan, you will likely enjoy War Upon Worship.
