I got a few promos from Prophecy Productions which included Elend, Mysterium and this one here. Unfortunately this one had no information on the band included with the disc so I have no actual knowledge of how long the band has been together or how many albums they have released. Oh well the music is by far the most important thing in any case and I do have the disc in my possession.

The album is Gothic flavored metal and if I had to compare the sound to anyone I would have to say Lacuna Coil. They have the same style and with the addition of the female vocals the similarities really start to stand out. This is not however a clone since most of the songs are more up tempo than Lacuna Coil and there is more of a gothic feel to the album overall. The musicianship is excellent with the drums really standing out. The drummer standing out is actually quite rare for this genre considering all the emphasis on the overall mood and atmosphere. The drummer is very technical within the framework of the song without overpowering it and this really adds an extra dimension to the music. The guitars are nothing to rave about but for the style of music it does fit very well. There are a few songs that they do shine such as track 3 "Forsaken" but for the most part they just seem to blend in. The vocals are mainly female but there are a few instances that they trade off with male clean vocals. Both are done well but again nothing that will make you stand up and cheer.

Overall I actually enjoyed this album quite a bit and I would say if you are a fan of bands like Lacuna Coil, The Gathering or Brave this is certainly well worth checking out.
