This is supposedly an EP, but with bonus tracks it's over 40 minutes long, so I don't know. This is the umpteenth release from Russian band Astarium, who have the usual flood of EPs, demos, splits, and singles cluttering up their discography. This came out in 2016, so I am not sure why I have it now. Overall, my impression of this would be: silly. This has too many keys, and the guitar sound is a feeble waste of time, so this is mostly just shitty-sounding keyboards dootling all over the landscape while some croaking also goes on, sounding more or less like a frog in a 50-gallon drum. I am all for the latent primitivist impulse in Black Metal, but this is just embarrassing. |
