Review

I skipped the first Thrash Anthems album back in 2007, not being particularly eager to get re-recordings of earlier songs even though they often breathe a new life into classics. This second one is pretty cool overall especially since today's Destruction has a pretty solid, fine-tuned lineup. You get what you'd expect from a modern rerecording: better production, modern sound and a band whose playing skills have matured many years. This gives older songs a vibe that's very much in line with Destruction's sound since their return in 2000. I, for one, find it pretty cool, though those married to the original takes may not see this in a favourable light. Your choice. ;)
