Another album that fell through the cracks, likely because I thought I had already reviewed it. Ex-Immortal's Abbath went on to form this band some time after leaving the Norwegian black metal legends and so far this is the band'sonly album.

As can be expected, the vocals and guitars sound very close to what you'd hear from Immortal. The songs are close to later Immortal in style, though maybe a little more accessible for the most part. No one could blame you for thinking this is an Immortal album; it's that similar. That sharp guitar sound and those distinctive vocals just follow Abbath wherever he goes. I don't find the album particularly memorable and there's nothing that really stands out either, but it's pretty good when it's on and there's nothing actually bad here.
