The Crucible of Sin is the latest release from this Toronto-based band and is a 5-song EP of thrashy metal with more than a little crossover in the mix. The vocals are yappy and are delivered with a snotty sneer and even though the lyrics cover seemingly cool topics like Hercules and succubi, the whole thing is delivered rather annoyingly. I can sort of see how this stuff would work better in a live setting than in a recorded format, so I can't really recommend it. If, however, you want to have a few adult beverages and thrash around the mosh pit, by all means check out AxMinister at a club near you. |
