The sole member in Ad Hominem has been at it for some 20 years ago and, I'm sorry to say, I haven't heard much of his material before. Napalm for All sure sounds like it has a full line-up behind it as it is quite a varied black metal offering that packs a hell of a punch from beginning to end. The songs are a mix of 90s Scandinavian black metal, early 2000s French doomy black metal and early (as in "not overdone") black 'n' roll that is certainly not without reminding me of later Carpathian Forest. It's pretty amazing how the violence, gloom and doom and rawness mix so well with the catchier black 'r' roll style. The result is an album that will satisfy the listeners in search of heavy, dark, evil-sounding black metal, but will also make them rock the house.
