Feel No Pain is a Metal band hailing from the capital of Spain, Madrid. The band cites such names as Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, etc. as their main influences, so you have an idea what to expect on this 3-song EP (+ intro) called Into the Chaos. The band offer a Thrash-driven Heavy Metal with the main emphasis being on the Thrash side. Their music is full of up tempo-ish rhythm changes, pretty fast playing and sometimes even crossing the progressive territory here and there (check out the last song, "Into the Chaos Dimension", which offers some Voïvod-ish vibes). The rumbling and nicely farting bass' sound has been brought up front in the final mixing, which I like a lot. It's obvious the guys have also paid a lot of attention to their song structures because the songs are easy to listen to and there's not much here that I could say irritates me in any way. The vocals, however, aren't anything too special and are actually below average, so they could work on that in the future. Otherwise, it's not hard to recommend this Spanish act. |
