I got this 7" with the first English-language issue of Grinder Magazine. It features exclusive tracks by both of the Chilean death metal bands. There's only one song per band here, which makes for a rather short length, but it's a short time soaked in sweet headbanging speed and brutality. This is good, reliable South American old-school death metal and both bands deliver such nice cuts here that I can't pick a favourite. Atomic Aggressor play it straightforward, basic and hard-hitting with a slight thrashy vibe, while Unholy War bank more on atmosphere, delivering a more haunting and complex composition. Nothing that hasn't been done before, but it's well done. If you can find it, get Grinder Magazine #1 and you'll get this nice little bonus. |
