That is certainly short and sweet. At just over 10 minutes, The Last Rager is over before you know it, yet packs four songs. Well, Municipal Waste have never been known for 15-minute epics, so I guess that was to be expected. The band has band around for some 18 years now, purveyor of '80s-inspired crossover party thrash, and The Last Rager sees the band still headed in that direction. Nothing particularly serious lyrics-wise, fast songs with tight playing and the clean thrash vocals are all here to please the band's fan, but unlikely to change the mind of their detractors. Want some good headbanging fun without a worry? Just like the band's previous material, The Last Rager delivers just that—but it is over before you know it. |
