A deeply occult album from this deeply occult and obscure band. Despite a name that sounds like it would be some kind of synth or industrial act, Hellvetron are a murky, arcane duo who crank out long songs filled with mystical references and demonic invocations. Very much influenced by bands like Crimson Moon or even classic Beherit, this is an album that sounds very Second Wave, with a muffled production and long, convoluted songs full of echoing sounds and hollow rasping incantations. I really can't get enough of this kind of obtuse, occult Black Metal, and if you can't either, then you should absolutely check this out. |
