This demo kicks off with a Mortiis-like keyboard intro, which ends with a melancholic touch. An ideal prelude for the twisted, mindbending and otherworldly slap of black metal that follows. Galgeras offers the auditive impression of a long, dark bad-trip. The terrible production only adds up to this feeling, like your senses don't respond properly.
The third song, Cast to part, is a keyboard track, similar to the intro, which fits in nicely. The last song featured on my copy (not sure if that's a bonus track, but I guess so, as this demo is a MC) really is the highlight of this release in my opinion. The song starts with a semi-accoustic part which is totally melancholic and depressive, and then suddenly bursts into a ferocious full speed black metal attack with the guitars howling like hungry wolves, great stuff!
Let me conclude by stating that Galgeras doesn't play the easiest kind of music. At the first few listens, all will seem very chaotic (especially the drums), but once you have entered the sick mind of G. Sagelinge and his horde, this stuff is highly addictive and likely to make your worst nightmares come true. Try it, if you dare…
