Wolfbrigade are hard to pin down, genre-wise, as they mix hardcore and death metal with an infusion of punk, and there's a bit of "thrash 'n' roll" thing going on as well, giving it a bit of a Motörhead vibe here and there. Sounds like fun? It is. This is precise and punishing music, very fast paced, with razor-sharp riffage and drums that make the floor shake. The vocals are of the hardcore shouts style, which I usually find annoying as fuck, but here they work very well with the aural punishment inflicted by the music, so I guess there's an exception for everything. A brutal, angry album that is bound to make you want to trash everything around you. Or, you know, just rock the fuck out. |
