I almost skipped this one but then realized I was thinking of Assassin, which is certainly skippable. This is the band's 12th album but it is my first time hearing them, so I can't compare with their past work. The German horde has gone for a relatively modern thrash sound on this self-titled album, but there's enough of an old-school vibe to save the furniture (modern thrash usually kind of sucks, with some exceptions). It's on the lighter side of thrash, not too harsh and sometimes tiptoeing the fence with heavy metal, though most of it is speedy melodic thrash with some memorable catchy passages. I wouldn't call this essential, but it's worth a look if you just can't get enough thrash.
