Archemoron have released four albums now, and they keep shifting their sound around the Black Metal landscape, never quite sounding like the same band from release to release. 2018's Year of the Harvester was a massive double disc of Immortal worship, while this one is much more what I would call "typical" Greek Black Metal. The riffs are pretty good here, and the individual songs are enjoyable, but they all sound kind of the same. Here we have some music that is perfectly fine, well played and well produced, but it doesn't have much identity and doesn't leave much impression when it is over. |
