Debut EP from this band who play competent Black/Death metal with a gloss of Finnish melodic styling. The music alternates between more pugilistic passages and more harmonically interesting melodic sections, which are generally more interesting. This has a mid-aughts kind of vibe, reminding me of the more aggressive Eternal Tears of Sorrow songs, or even some of Argath or Thy Serpent—which is to say it is very Finnish. For such a young band, the sound is very polished and promises good things for the future. |
