This is a compilation that includes the Iron Tears and Metal Shock demos from 1985, along with three live tracks recorded in 1984 and 1985. This certainly shows another side of Flotsam and Jetsam, with these tracks being, of course, a lot more raw and even kind of sloppy compared to their later studio output. Just a fact, not a criticism as the songs sound pretty good for demos and the crude sound is not that far removed from even some studio recordings in the early to mid-80s. A couple of songs are repeated here, in demo and live format, which I personally find a little annoying, but your mileage may vary. Fans of the band who never got these demos should check this out. |
