This is an interesting album of Black Metal that takes a lot of influence from Black/Doom and DSBM sounds like Forgotten Tomb or Xasthur, though not as extreme as either one. The guitar sound is nice and cold, even if it could be more raw. The vocals are the expected rasps, and the three songs are long and doomy affairs, with slow-building melodies and a lot of repetition. Uncompromising, but ultimately not really well written enough to really carry it off. |
