Third album in five years from this Virginia band who have a very Osmose sound while not actually being on that label. There is a lot of Angelcorpse in this, with the fast, chaotic riffing and the dry rasp of the vocals. This kind of thing is not about technicality or originality, but creating a feral atmosphere and feeding it with riffs blasted straight into the fire. This is most enjoyable when the band cranks it up and goes fast as hell, and the places where they slow down don't have the same energy and become kind of repetitive. A solid release but not an amazing one. |
