There are a lot of bands doing thrash or speed/thrash these days, but not so many doing basically "pure" speed metal. Seax is one of them, and with this album they really put the speed in speed metal. This is highly energetic, crazy fast, upbeat speed metal with high-pitched vocals that will pierce your eardrums after they've torn your speakers to pieces. Some parts are so fast that it's hard to keep up, sometimes leaving that feeling that you just got hit by a bullet train. Guitars and drums are relentlessly speedy, and the solos really dig into the old school of the genre. Seax aren't into letting the foot off the pedal, so there isn't really any time to catch your breath; the album is very aptly titled. With such nonstop action, one may wonder if the band can deliver the good live, but I got a chance to see the band live in Cambridge (the one near Boston) at the end of July and what they put to disc, they can pull off live—and then some. A very addictive album for the speed freaks out there.
