Left Cross are a band from Virginia playing some bulldozer Death Metal that is definitely influenced by Bolt Thrower, while also bringing in some Scandinavian sounds that remind me of Dismember or even Asphyx. There's nothing subtle about this, it just lowers the blade and gets to crushing everything in sight. It doesn't have the memorability or the riffs of Bolt Thrower (who does?), but it churns and hammers along quite enjoyably. If you like heavy, echoey Death Metal that sounds like it wants to be Warmaster so bad you can taste it, then this is for you. |
