While Intranced was formed only a couple of years ago, the music on Muerte y metal ("death and metal") sounds like a blast from the past. Of course, with all the revivals these days, this is almost expected at this point. Intranced's hard-rocking heavy metal sounds a lot like early '80s NWOBHM mixed with some American heavy metal from the same years. It's mostly fun, uplifting and accessible, almost commercial music—in other words, it can reach a more mainstream audience. The more "rock" moments definitely borrow from classic rock and hard rock more than metal. That may water down the metal a little bit, but it's very well executed. Just keep in mind that the album gets softer here and there. A good listen when you're in the mood for something lighter. |
