Review

First album in 7 years from this one-man band who used to produce a new full-length every year or two. No two Autumns Eyes albums sound alike, and this one is a big step away from the very gothic/Type O Negative sound of the last one, Ending Life Slowly, and back toward a harder, more metallic sound like in the project's early years. There's a lot of variety in this, from almost Death Metal passages to more melodic, goth-sounding interludes and sweeping orchestrations. I don't find it as cohesive as some of the band's works, but it is enjoyable all the way through, as you never know what will happen next.
