After their modern-sounding self-titled album back in 2020, Germany's Accuser ("Accu§er", really) are back with Rebirthless and it's almost like a different band altogether. Rebirthless is barebones old-school raw thrash that plows away like an out-of-control bullet train. The riffs are so damn catchy on this, they were stuck in my head after one or two listens and they're guaranteed to get the head banging. Lots of machine-gun razor-sharp riffage here to keep the air guitar busy. It's pretty much pedal to the metal all the way through, a nice speedfest devoid of gimmicks, pure thrash that's a delight for the ears. There's a bit of a dark, evil-ish vibe at times that remind me of '80s Slayer. Powerful harsh vocals complement the devilish guitars and pounding drums, no clean vocals this time around. I've been listening to this one several times a day ever since I got it and I just can't get enough. See below for more reviews and interviews... ↓ |
