This band has been cranking out singles and EPs for five years now, but this is their proper debut album. The name might make you expect something more primitive, but this is actually hard-edged Thrash in the tradition of the German school greats like Sodom or Destruction. The riffing is heavy and inventive, and the songwriting has enough aggression and variety to satisfy. The vocals are pretty mid, sounding a lot better when they stack up the layers for some bellowing and chanting along, otherwise they get a little monotonous. But you are really here for the riffs, and those are pretty much gold all the way through. If you like albums like Code Red or Tapping the Vein, then you will dig on this. |
