Ooooh yeaaaah. Looking for some nightmarish, raw blackened death metal? Absolute Dominion by Fire from Kentucky's Pyromancer has what you're looking for. This is gloomy, dark, evil stuff right here, the album wrapped in a horror-like atmosphere that makes you want to keep the lights on while listening to it. Nothing refined here, just pure aural savagery sometimes bordering on war metal, with a mix of guttural and shrieky vocals bound to make the uninitiated run and hide under their mom's skirt. No shortage of speed, with the occasional slower passages to let you take a breath and beg for mercy, only to have to run for your life when things go crazy again. See below for more reviews... ↓ |
