I am not often a fan of Greek-styled Black Metal. Hard to say what it is, I just find it usually too soft, without enough coldness or grit, opting instead for melody without the atmosphere that marks Finnish or Slavic Black Metal. This is pretty good through, even if I feel like the songwriting is a bit baggy. The guitar sound could be a lot sharper, but the riffs are good, and I do like the sometimes sprawling compositions. The mood wanders a good bit, with the vocals opting too often for a gargly sound I don't find convincing. There are a lot of keys here, but again, they are too friendly-sounding and lack the cold atmosphere I would want. In general I prefer stuff more like Evilfeast or Lunar Aurora—Black Metal that has a colder, more unified sound. So I find this entertaining, but not that compelling except in places.
