Dark Believer is album number six from The Netherland's Martyr and picks up the speedy, aggressive power/thrash thread where the band left off after 2022's Planet Metalhead. The album is an all-out riff fest with a biting guitar tone that remains melodic, vocals that run the gamut from gruff shouting to high-pitched wails and all-around solid songwriting. The overall feel of Dark Believer is more Vicious Rumors, with a bit of Painkiller-era Priest, and less early Queensrÿche than Planet Metalhead and that make it somewhat less varied than its predecessor, but it remains an ass-kicking good time all the way through. Queue up Dark Believer for a dose of pure, uncut heavy metal. See below for more reviews and interviews... ↓ |
