Faithfully for some 30-odd years, Motörhead have been releasing album after album. "Inferno" is yet another poser-crusher from this very productive band. I don't consider any Motörhead album to be "bad", but some have been weaker than others. This one is the best in a while, even though the past few albums have been killers in their own right. The albums starts with the heavy and speedy "Terminal Show", which kicks off this album so quick that I'm still startled everytime I listen to it. After that the heavy and fast pace is maintained for most of the album, with the occasional slower passages - essentially a formula similar to the past couple of albums, but with more emphasis on speed and a downsizing of the more relaxed moments. Musically there's no surprises: This is Motörhead, and if you don't know what that means, I don't know what you're doing here in the first place. Steve Vai contributed some guitar parts and that adds a bit of variety to the classic Motörhead guitar sound. That said, with or without Vai, this would have been a great album anyway. This band ages like a fine wine, and here's to several more years of bone-crushing material. Because one can never get enough Motörhead.
