This is a really good Black Metal CD being released in the US through Southern Lord. Glorior Belli are not surprisingly French, as a lot of the good BM bands these days are from France. Manifesting The Raging Beast is a furious, aggressive slab of old-school killing not that dissimilar from Marduk or similar high-speed bands. Glorior Belli get a great guitar tone and some very cool riffs, which they play at high velocity with some standard screaming vocals. I don't know, on examination there is nothing original at all about this, and there is nothing here you haven't heard before. But it's all about execution, and these guys execute mercilessly. A delightfully trend-free blast of viciousness.
