Martriden are a band from Montana of all places, and far from the crap that usually comes from my own country, this band cranks out some serious Death/Black mayhem. This is only a four-tracker, but it shows enough potential that I'll be watching out for a full-length.

Martriden essentially sound like Behemoth, only a bit blacker, and not as blasty. If that sounds good to you, well it sounds pretty good to me too. This band is startlingly proficient and tight for a young act, and the production is really pro. This is heavy, crushing Blackened Death Metal with a killer guitar sound and some really cool riffs. Martriden are not really pushing the envelope, but they rule anyway. This is one EP that is definitely worth getting. A band to watch.
