You'd think Swedish Death Metal would be a cliché by now, and you'd probably be right, but a good band are a good band, no matter where they come from. My Own Grave are a young Swedish band playing flesh-ripping, ear-bleeding old school Death Metal. Nothing original about that at all, but who cares? When a disc kicks as much ass as this one, there doesn't need to be any originality in evidence. Besides, with every other band trying to be different, a band that just goes right for the throat looks almost revolutionary. If you are a fan of Dismember, Acrostichon, Edge Of Sanity, or a dozen other 90's –era Swedish Death bands, then you will dig this as much as I do. Remember how cool Therion was before they got arty? So do My Own Grave. A band to watch.
