Do you like Edguy? Sonata Arctica? Stratovarius? Then you're sure to find something you like with Mob Rules' second CD, Temple of Two Suns. All the elements of "happy" Power Metal are here: high, clean vocals, major-chord riffs, keyboards, a few double-kicks, crystal clear production and every note securely in its place. Is this release going to make you forget about any of the aforementioned bands? Nope. This is a good album, but not great.

The songs are mainly mid-paced with the faster tracks ("Pilot of Earth", "Eyes of All Young") standing above the rest, but nothing really sticks out or hangs around after you are done listening. There is one ballad, "Hold On", with just vocals and piano, which I find rather syrupy in a Dokken-Alone Again, kind of way. You could do a lot worse than this, so if you are looking for something right down the middle of the Power Metal genre, with no surprises, pick this up.
