Entering my "let's dig up some old obscure stuff" phase... The Love Murder single was released by the band seven years after their formation, and they never released a full-length. I don't know when the songs were written or even recorded, but this sounds a lot more like something that would have come out in 1980 than in 1987. Very rough and basic, but rather melodic Heavy Metal, which sounds quite heavy but this is more due to the loud bass recording than the actual compositions. This is sung in English and the singer's French accent is discernible, but not too much and it doesn't really hurt the listening experience. Very melodic and somewhat soothing vocal lines - after all they're not exactly singing about Satan - make these two songs pretty catchy, but the guitars have a lot to do with it as well: Nothing too speedy or flashy, just some slow to mid-paced riffage in a style quite standard, if not a little generic for the era. These guys could probably have released an OK melodic Heavy Metal album if they had kept it up, but then again they played a style more popular in the late 70s/early 80s than in the late 80s, where they probably got shunned aside by glam, Thrash, Death and more aggressive Heavy Metal bands. Not something to spend a car payment on should you find a copy, but it's a cool little single if you're looking for some easy-listening vintage metal.
