This is pretty cool. Funeral In Heaven are a band from Sri Lanka who have yet to get a full album out, just working the usual splits and singles to try and catch label interest. I really think they should have it, as this band adds some unique touches to their Black Metal formula. They mix in a Wolves In The Throne Room epic riff style with some oriental music, atmospheric touches, and spoken interludes that I of course cannot understand at all. The whole is a melodic and intriguing sound with a lot of space and atmosphere, especially for such a short release. Usually I find EPs more tedious than anything else, but this one really makes me want to hear more by this band.

Track Listing:
  1. Malediction of Veracity
  2. The Origins of Evil
