This is a pretty good little EP. There are about 15 bands called Infestation, but this is a new one from the UK, which seems to be having a bit of a Death Metal revival lately. This disc is only just over ten minutes long, and so as a sampler it is a bit scanty. Infestation have a very US sound to them, in a definite Suffocation kind of mode. I never thought Suffocation were any good, but this disc has a lot of energy and doesn't devolve into total mush. Being so short, I can't really rate it too highly, but the band does tear into their shit with a lot of enthusiasm, so they might be worth watching. |
