The French scene used to produce some of the greatest Black Metal on the planet, but those days, sadly, are past us. This is decent, but it is so uninspired and middle-of-the-road that it becomes almost unbearably bland before it is half over. The guitar tone is weak and fuzzy, with almost no bite, the riffs are largely dull, and the songwriting is repetitive and lacks build or development. The vocals are a boring rasp, and that's pretty much the problem with the whole thing. Boring, bland, and highly derivative of much better bands.
