Well, this is interesting. This is a band that takes the amorphous, undersea sound of Funeral Doom a la Thergothon and mixes in an ambient/Black Metal feel that calls to mind the Ruins of Beverast's more moody moments. It's very extreme, and unlikely to appeal to anyone looking for anything conventional; but the relatively short length works for it, and you're left wanting more, as opposed to getting bored. An interesting and atmospheric mix of two very extreme forms to create something that sounds really different. |
