Nothing about this looked that great, but it is actually a strong album of well-produced Death/Black Metal. The riffs are propulsive, the drumwork is tight and aggressive, and the vocals are mixed low so they don't get in the way. This band has been called pagan, and their lyrics certainly are, but they have none of the moody/folky vibe you might expect from a pagan band. This is straight up, heavy, and in-your-face. Fans of Naglfar or Behemoth's mid-period works will find much to like in this derivative but engaging album.
