Witchburner is a band that was spawned in the same corner of Hell that has given us evil Thrash bands going all the way back to Venom and Possessed. The same proto-Death vocals, fast tempos and furious riffing are neatly in place. The guitars have a nasty edge and the solos cut through your eardrums like a newly-sharpened scythe through a field of wheat. The songwriting, on the other hand, is generic and there's nothing on Bloodthirsty Eyes, the band's seventh album, that you haven't heard countless times before. Thus, you have an album that is fun to listen to but is completely forgettable when it is over. Witchburner have some chops and now need to back them up with killer songs.
