The words "avant-garde" should always raise alarms when discussing any kind of metal, because Avant-Garde is all about breaking down boundaries, while metal is about respecting and working within them. Thus you get piles of misguided nonsense like this. You have raspy screeches and a poorly-recorded guitar tone, but that's about all that's Black Metal about this release. Mostly this exists as an excuse to make noise while flailing through songs that sound as if they were written by headless cockroaches. A mess, and not a pretty one. |
