This is actually the third album for Russian BM band Astarium, who are really just one of those misanthropic one-man acts from the hinterlands. The opening song of this was not promising, being over six minutes of extremely slow, ambient-styled Black Metal with a lot of keys and not much happening. I hoped it was an intro track and we'd get down to business after that, but alas. All the songs on this sound almost exactly the same - slow, plodding, shapeless compositions with a lot of sound effects and synths, but not much of interest. Tedious. |
