Italian thrashers Plague Angels have been around since 2010 and have released one demo and a couple of EPs thus far in their career. In 2013, Reign in Terror, the band's debut 9-track album was unleashed via Earthquake Terror Noise.

Reign in Terror is nothing but pure, old school Thrash Metal, played with lots of aggression and untamed energy. Hell, even the production is far from modern, supporting Plague Angels' attempt to maintain the old school Thrash style, a definite plus. From the very first moments of "Operation Rolling Thunder," the opening song, Plague Angels sound a lot like New Jersey's classic 80s Thrash Metal act Blood Feast. Mich, on vocals, reminds me of Gary Markovitch (the original Blood Feast vocalist) and Plague Angels' song structures have been built using the same ingredients that made Blood Feast's Kill for Pleasure and Face Fate such ass-kicking albums. In fact, if someone told me Reign in Terror was some sort of unreleased Blood Feast record, I would buy it without hesitation, that is how similar these two acts are.

Good, old school violent fun? You bet, that's exactly what you get from Plague Angels.
