Grey Skies Fallen have been around for a while, putting out a few well-regarded albums in the early 2000s, but on this, their first album in eight years, I don't know what the fuck they are even doing anymore. They were always a hard band to categorize, but now they are just faffing all over the map, with bits from like 8 different genres and none of it amounting to anything resembling a good song. The clean vocals are boring, the harsh vocals are out of place, and the compositions lurch aimlessly from one part to the next without anything like order or sense. This is trying to be adventurous and different, but it mostly annoyed me. |
