Italy strikes again with yet another Thrash Metal act that has the potential to break through a wall or two...

Based in Tuscany, Sofisticator plays Thrash of the heaviest kind. If you combine Dark Angel and Hobbs Angel of Death with Venom and Celtic Frost and then throw in some Slayer, you will pretty much have Sofisticator in your hands.

The band's debut album, Camping the Vein, is some heavy shit; they put on such an amazingly violent and almost laughably masculine Thrash Metal show on the record that it makes you ponder whether or not these Italian thrashers were drinking something stronger than their country's wine when they were recording the album. The bottom line is Camping the Vein comes at the listener with all the pipes blazing red-hot and punishes, ready or not. Sofisticator have an idea or two about how to make ripping, soulful Thrash Metal that bows respectfully in the direction of classic Thrash and manages to melt the heart of this old school Thrash Metal fan. To top it off, we have the raspy vocals of Dissosator, who sounds like a cross between Cronos (Venom) and Jeff Becerra (Possessed). How fuckin' cool is that?

Everything on Camping the Vein appeals to those of us out there who simply cannot resist well-made, old school Thrash Metal. Thanks to Sofisticator for keeping the flag for this immortal style of Metal high; Thrash fuckin' Metal!
